Sir Terry Pratchett debates assisted suicide

This was a fantastic program and long may the debate run, at the age of, soon to be 44, I often think of suicide and how would I do it, and this is something that we must allow.

I don't have much of a wish to live much longer, as I have had, and enjoyed a very good live, and if it was legal and possible for me to to take my life legally without the fear of harrasment to those who I know, I would be greatful for the choice.

Poor reporting, things that need saying...

Right, so now elections are all over and we can just sit back and get shafted by those in power while they take what they can get from us, lets review something that again no one will ask.

Strategic voting. This is something that is impossible, yet they roll it out as something that happens.

Now to explain the way a reporter should..

If you have 10 people in a room, and 3 are running for leader ship of the room, the worse you are going to get for votes is 8 for one person and two single votes (Note I assume that if your running you vote for yourself)

Now if you expand that to 10000 people (A constituency) you still get one winner.

Now multiple the number of constituencies, and you still can not have Strategic voting!

Or are you telling me that people are so stupid as to vote for the worst MP just because that gives the overall party one less MP?

If that is the case then my argument about the education system stands.

Question Time LiveBlog 19th May 2011

Question Time comes tonight, unbelievably, from inside HM Prison Wormwood Scrubs. Built in the 1880s by convict labour (imagine trying that today...can't do that, it's me uman rites, innit) - past inmates include escapee Soviet spy George Blake and the only UK Minister to have been confirmed as a Soviet spy John Stonehouse.

On the panel we have Ken Clarke, Jack Straw, token right-winger Melanie Phillips and Universal Shami Chakrabarti. To be fair, Chakrabarti hasn't been on QT for at least a couple of weeks now so the BBC probably think we're missing her or something.

It's fair to assume that the first question will be about rape, so make sure you have the Shrill Feminist Whine setting turned right down on your television set.

Osama and Obama

So, Obama goes up, then Obama goes down.

Now, you can see videos of everyone watching what was happening on the Raid, as it was happening. Yet, with all those eyes some how it seems to be the story that Osama resisted arrest and used a wife as a shield. Now, if the video feed is crap, then maybe it is possible, but this is the US, are they really going to watch Crap video of something like that? No, I don't think so. So, why not kill it before it starts? Why let it get out, then turn around and say, well he wasn't shooting at us, and his wife wasn't used as a shield.

Why Obama? Why? You think everything through to the last and smallest item, then the stories change?

The Embarrassment of Radio 4

So they have Ed Milly on, and he was asked if when in power they should have made the change to AV, and he said yes but when you have such a large majority why change the system, so the interviewer just yeah yeah, but that is what you need to hit on.

If the system works for you, why change it, if the system doesn't work for you, change it! So only a sore looser wants to change the system then right?

You nail Milly to the wall for being so stupid to admit if it works why change it, now they are out of power, you have to change it!

So if your screwing the people when your in power, who cares, your in power, but the second your out of power, you start to complain?

Radio 4 and the Today program have got to buck up and start listening to what they are being told in interviews, its pointless if you just work as a robot and ask questions, listen, then ask another question, you need to respond to what is being said!

Baby snatching read this its the sort of thing that happens in 3rd world countries, but no, it happens here!

Many years ago I was contacted by a mother who had been treated the same way, I allowed her to publish something on one of my sites, and guess what, a week later I had a letter, take it down or else.

Whats wrong with telling people about what is happening to you? Freedom of speach! If what your saying is wrong, then allow them to proove it!

Crime and Punishment

Prisons must be tougher, says survey

The Coalition's law and order policies have failed to win public backing,according to a major new survey which found widespread support for tougher punishments. 

 Now I know it isn't the right thing to say, but... Its got to be said.

1 - You make the police go after those who do crime, not chase after people for swearing or taking babies away from mothers, no. When someone reports a break in, police go, and show up. (My experience, this is a direct quote, "its a waste of our time and yours) Gee, its only my laptop and I can see the finger prints on the window. Never saw the police.

I know businesses in my area that have received the same response, yet... Someone makes a complaint against them, and the police are out of breath for an easy target.

Again, its an english thing, lazy to the last.

2 - Jail time, means jail time, speed up the courts, run them all night if need be, they get paid well enough, and keep it going.

3 - Lets do this 3 strikes and your out stuff, enough crimes and its jail for life.

It is so nice to see that we have peace in Northern Ireland now. I mean its just wonderful.

We burn a book, they kill people...

Yeah, that sounds about right, such a peaceful bunch.


Problem is, no one in power has the balls to say it.
