Well, it seems that Gordo will get through this as support is already digging in, regardless of what happens Monday Gordo will stand strong and deaf to the calls of everyone. I question if it isn't an ear that he is missing instead of an eye, for someone who claims to be listening he doesn't seem able to hear.
This really just brings out more questions, that the press will not ask. I mean why would anyone support Gordo? I mean honestly, not the because he is the best man for the job BS they will feed you, but WHY?
I can only think because there has been so much criminality at the top, money for this, jobs for friends, homosexual trists in groups (Nudge, Nudge), that sort of thing, so they have to protect the man at the top, because when he goes it will all come out, and some people will be on their way to jail.
I still think the story is going to be how Labour are going to finance the election and how they are going to re-finance their loans, as things stand, even with lots of money behind you, why would you give to them when its only going to pay things of, and not actually buy you someone or something.
This is where the future gets told, I am willing to place money on what I write here. There are some basic things that need to be explained, the poor level of education, that fact that the education system has been failing for 30 year, and the in ability of us to change what needs to be changed.

Bankruptcy hanging like a cloud over Labour
Click the Title to see what The Times has to say about it. I did not read The Time before I wrote what I did below, but I think it is going to happen. Chapter 11 for Labour.
Political Funding
Now, here is a question. Does any one remember the Political Funding problems we have had before, that all the parties promised to sort out, how horrid it was, never again!
Anyone remember how it was settled?
I have an answer for you, its the same one that we will get over expenses, Not Settled Yet.

Predictions -
Labour should go Bankrupt within a year or so, unless it can find some way of re-financing all the debt that is has built up and will build up during the election, which is going to cost it a bomb.
At least one spending scandle to be exposed for each of the top three parties.
At least one postal voting fraud scandle for labour, as before if not worse. It will consist of various ethnic labour candidates arranging for multiple votes.
England and the Great Snow Fall
Being Canadian I guess I should not be so grumpy about how the English deal with snow, BUT there are some things to be said for all those people who drive 4x4 but still seem unable to drive down a road, nor get their children to school.
First I should state that I have never held English intelligence in high regard, ever since I encounter someone who had been to university yet was unable to do basic math in his head.
Now the secret to snow, salting the road, or gritting, is when it is done.
Your salt trucks should NEVER go out during high traffic, it is a night time job, late at night time job. Yet it seems that is not how it works here.
(Tip to councils, Hire a Canadian to sort it out for you. Also any Canadian could explain to you how to time your traffic lights. Traffic lights should be time to the speed limit, so a car can get from one end of the road to another traveling at the speed limit)
At the hint, from the below 50% hit rate weather service, of cold weather they send out the trucks, and with all the other cars on the road, never mind the trucks, all the salt ends up on the side of the road, doing nothing but destroying the roads.
Now, if you send the trucks out at 3 or 4 in the morning, the salt stays on the road and melts the snow that is falling, it stays there. Then when the traffic starts to flow in the morning, this steps up the melting, and the roads become clear, or at least are driveable, and the next night you do the same thing.
NOW, here is another one of those famous predictions of mine.
Trouble for councils ahead, because of their abusive use of salt at the wrong times, the road, which I am sure they have been using sub-standard tarmac on, will start to fall apart, and thus more people will be complaining and more people suing the councils for money for damage to their cars because of the poor roads.
(This should bring to light the general criminal activity that occurs in most councils in regards to planning and contracting and general works)

New Year - For those who need help - unemployedmp.co.uk
unemployedmp.co.uk - This is for those MPs who will have no idea what to do when they loose their seats. For those of them who have dedicated their education to Politics, and the study of politics, who now find that the Public has decided not to support them.
What do you do when you have done nothing your entire life other than study politics?
Just the thought of having to deal with a member of the public, and maybe talk to them when working in a call centre, or working a checkout, I mean, thats just, well, its not right.
When you have found the politics means more than keeping receipts and writing out claim forms, come to me...

Cloward–Piven strategy
Cloward–Piven strategy - Just a little light bed time reading for those of you who are interested. Its made me sit up and think, and not in a good way.
Yes I know it is all US focused, but just think about the words that have been used here, by some of the people we "trust" to guide us and run our country, and you know. I think they might be, well, you know.. Thinking this might not be such a bad idea.

Predictions for 2010
Predictions is what this blog is all about, telling the Future History of Great Britian, and as I said before I put enough though into these that I will bet on them.
From what I have been reading, I think there is a possiblity that Gordo might have to fight to stay leader of the party, but since changing the labour leader is something that requires fairy dust (funny pun there for those in the know), and some shoving from behind, it is more than likely that it will amount to nothing, and Gordo will stand a fresh into the election.
Dave is going to have a low key new year, and keep his head down, as it seems everytime he sticks his neck out it happens with facts that do not seem to be 100%, so expect him to let others take the lead and just be the leader, and stand behind everyone while they make the anouncements.
As for Leg over, sorry mister Clegg, he will have the best of the new year, as with the polls showing that Dave doesn't really have it in the bag, and Gordo dealing with all the in fighting, he will be able to get interviewed easily by everyone, and people will see him, and as he is the leader of the third party, the one that has not really had a shot at it, he will pick up the votes he needs to hang the system.
The economy is not going to pick up anytime soon, as prices are going to go up 5%, 2.5 for VAT and 2.5 for the company, lets face it when your in Business you need to make money and the VAT increase gives you the ability to increase your prices. All the big boys are going to do it, again problem is no one will be honest about it.
Expenses is going to run and run, politics is all about the money at the moment, and the current lot do not understand it, and have no chance of understanding it.
To assist everyone in understanding, I give you the following, directly from the Green Book
"The following questions are designed to assist Members in
coming to a decision about whether or not costs incurred are
appropriate to be met from the allowances:
Is this expense genuinely incurred by me in my role as a
Member of Parliament as opposed to my personal capacity?
Is this purchase supporting me in carrying out my
parliamentary duties? Defining parliamentary duties is difficult
but Members may wish to consider (i) the generally accepted
parliamentary functions: the legislative role; the oversight
and accountability role; and the representative role, including
dealing with constituents’ problems and (ii) obligations they
may have, for example as a small employer. Anything which is
done for personal benefit or for electioneering or for the direct
support of a political party will not be part of a Member’s
parliamentary duties.
Does the claim match the purpose of the allowance in question
as set out later in the Green Book?
Could the claim in any way damage the reputation of
Parliament or its Members?
How comfortable do I feel with the knowledge that my claim
will be available to the public under Freedom of Information?"
With the above being mentioned on pages 11, and 12. Not that far to read into a book. We get claims for Gardening, Bath Plugs, DVDs and Candy Bars.
Now in my mind, I would never claim for any of those things, its just not part of my job.
Also, since I would be earning 3 times the average wage, and people on the average wage seem to have nice TVs and DVDs, and some how they also manage to eat, then maybe I should be able to get by with buying my own DVD and candy bar?
No, MPs will never understand.

Readers and Blogging
Right, its even later and I figure I will post one more thing, and explain a little about myself.
I have always been interested in Politics, ever since my time in Canada and seeing how it is done there. In Toronto years ago local councillors pretty much had price lists, if you wanted something done, you paid for it, and it got done, or you got the ability to do what you wanted to do, a permit or whatever.
Paying someone to do something is aways a system that works.
Here in the UK, its this "Class" thing. The "working class" or Labour, think that when they get there it is their "right" to take what is on offer, while the Tories, "Upper Class" just take because they always have.
(This is how it was once explained to me, and pretty much it seems to fit, now the question really is, which is worse?)
Well when you take it because you think it is a "Right" then you forget the second half which is "responsibility", and that is to those who put you in that position in the first place. You get high on the power, and you figure your to clever to get caught, and your own kind will never let you down, and well your walking blindly into a big mess.
When you take it because you always have, you again think it is your "Right", and because you have never really had any responsibility, you don't think about it, but you do know one thing, without the little people to step on, your shoes don't get polished, and if you don't have polished shoes, the people at the club will laugh at you and since you don't want that to happen, you better throw the little people a bone once and a while.
Now this may well look like a bit of a late night rant, and it is, but to explain what I am trying to explain, let me say this.
The problem is the "class" system that everyone in this country keeps on bringing up. There isn't one anymore, be it Eton, or Oxford, they fail and fall just as far as, Joe the plumber or Greg the chippy. Everyone has to earn a crust. The minute that we the people, can stop talking about "class", the better things will get.
Now as for me, well. I don't do class, I don't do school, I don't do anything unless I enjoy it.
I thank you for reading, and for the year of 2010, I promise to watch the blogs, and the news, and do lots more posting, if you promise to comment and suggest and point, and even laugh, at some of the things I type.
Yours Faithfully,
William G. Grace (Yes, I know about the name, and I hate Cricket, 5 day games to finish with a draw/tie, I mean really, flip a coin or something its quicker!)
P.S. - I am a Canadian, and very proud of it. I travel as a Canadian, I write as a Canadian. I am also British, but not overly proud of it. If you want to know why, step back out of your body, and watch any British people abroad, it is always the most embarassing thing you will ever see, and you ask why people hate you? Take a look at yourselves, and you think the Americians are bad, they have nothing on you.

Suggestions - Or a better way to do things...
I figure while I am here trying to get to sleep, and thinking about all those people in the streets breaking the law, and all those cops inside staying warm, something came to me.
I have noticed these ads on TV and its something I remember when I worked in London, posters staying don't show your phone, and TV ads about leaving things in plain sight. People will steal it if they see it.
Now I was thinking, how about changing those Ads, I mean really. If the police did their job, we would not have so many people walking around who will just jump at the chance to steal something, if people are like that it is because they do not fear what will happen to them when they get caught. There is no fear because they know they will not get caught.
To explain, why not have ads like this.
Now thats just me thinking at 2:49 in the morning, but I think the basic idea is there.
We as the general public should not have to worry about having a nice phone, or leaving a window open. Its those who would take advantage that should worry about what will, and please note I mean "will", happen to them WHEN they get caught.
Only problem you need a police force that actually wants to work, and not the Jack Straw police force staying in to get warm.

Scene - Local pub, people drinking having a good time. A man walks in and everyone stops.
Crowd - Hey Dave they yell, where have you been?
Dave - In jail.
Crowd -What say the crowd, why?
Dave - Do you remember the last time we went out, we got those burgers and all went home. I stopped to take a piss, and I got caught. Spent 3 weeks in jail, lost my job. All for a piss. It wasn't worth it.
Crowd - Your kidding.
Dave - Nope. Worst thing I ever did.
Voice over - Respect yourself, and others. Be polite, be honest, don't steal, don't do drugs, don't piss in public. Because if you do, its your life.
